The team of lecturers in the Mathematics Department at Universitas Negeri Padang who led by Fridgo Tasman, S.Pd., M.Sc, conducting the Community Partnership Program entitled
Improving the Ability of Elementary School Teachers KKG Gugus 5 Bayang in Designing Mathematics Learning Based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This activity was carried out in collaboration with elementary school teachers who are members of the KKG Gugus 5 chaired by Masrial, S.Pd.

The activity started on August 7, 2021, which took place at SD 08 Koto Apak Bayang, Pesisir Selatan. It is planned to be closed on November 6, 2021. The activity is focused on how to spread knowledge about one approach to learning mathematics, namely realistic mathematics education or what is known in Indonesia as PMRI. The teachers who participating in the activity were introduced to PMRI and the teachers given examples of lessons that implement the PMRI approach. The teachers are expected to be able to implement the PMRI approach in the implementation of their learning.
