The ability to think critically and creatively are two important things in mathematics. These two skills are the focus of learning in the 21st century to prepare students for the challenges of the future. This encourages a team of lecturers in the mathematics department, coordinated by Fridgo Tasman, S.Pd., M.Sc, to provide workshops to teachers to be able to design and implement learning that can improve critical and creative thinking skills in the classroom with grup of senior high school math teacher in west sumatera province as partners.

Due to Covid 19, activities that planned offline had to move to the online method by using the zoom meeting application. The activity started on September 26, 2020 and closed on October 17, 2020 and was attended by approximately 20 high school teachers spread across West Sumatra.

The activity presented speakers, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Fauzan, M.Pd., M.Sc, who explained about critical and creative thinking. Then followed by examples of learning critical and creative thinking delivered by Dr. Yerizon, M.Si and Defri Ahmad, M.Si. Apart from that, the participating teachers were also given workshops on how to make critical and creative thinking learning using geogebra classrooms.

Geogebra classroom itself is one of the developments from geogebra that allows teachers to design activities and view student work directly and stored online. In addition, students can also do activities designed by the teacher online either by using cellphones or laptops.

The teachers make a positive impression on the geogebra and geogebra classroom. Even though the activities are carried out virtually, they can provide learning solutions for teachers in the midst of a pandemic. The teachers also hope that this activity can be done again in the future and can be done face-to-face.
